Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Stephanie has always had a passion for helping others and making a difference. At a very young age, she knew she wanted to pursue her career in the medical field. Since 2007, Stephanie has worked in long-term care facilities. In 2013, she became a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) under the Board of Vocational Nurse & Psychiatric Technicians with a specialty in Behavioral Health and Psychology. Since receiving her LVN designation Stephanie has held multiple nursing support roles in long-term care facilities and at UCLA.
She currently leads Angela Vassallo’s team of diverse experts as Program Director on a multitude of unique projects – from managing the COVID-19 testing and contact tracing teams in LA and NY for major film/TV/media studios to working as an Infection Preventionist on the company’s California Department of Public Health nursing home project. She is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Prevention and Control (APIC). She’s an active member of APIC’s Greater Los Angeles chapter where her many years of bedside patient care experience in long-term care facilities is helping the chapter expand their long-term care Infection Preventionist membership and offerings.
